SAS Nagar, December 1, 2023:
Reviewing the progress of infrastructure upgrade/construction of Revenue Offices in the district, the Deputy Commissioner Aashika Jain directed the concerned officials to expedite the procedural formalities to start the work soon.
The Deputy Commissioner while listing the infra projects related to Revenue Departments said that besides the new buildings of Sub Tehsil buildings of Banur, Majri and Zirakpur, renovation of SDM Office Derabassi is on cards.
She added that we have got a grant of Rs 3 Crore for Banur besides Rs 50 lakh each for Majri and Zirakpur. The revenue officers have been asked to complete the formalities of transfer of land in the name of the Revenue Department to start the work without further delay.
Similarly, repair and maintenance works of SDM Office Derabassi have been pegged at Rs 90.17 lakh. The Executive Engineer Provincial Division Patiala, Manpreet Singh Dua apprised the DC about the preparation of DNIT before floating the tender.
The Deputy Commissioner also took stock of proposals of construction of the work station at Mohali, Installation of compactors at District Record Room and provision of basic amenities at Work Stations.
She asked the ADC (G) Viraj Shyamkaran Tidke and ADC (Urban Development) Damanjit Singh Mann to monitor the progress closely to start the work without further delay.
SDMs Gurbir Singh Kohli from Kharar, Chandrajyoti Singh from Mohali, Himanshu Gupta from Derabassi and District Revenue Officer Amandeep Chawla were also directed by the Deputy Commissioner to spruce up the remaining formalities to start the work. Executive Engineers S S Bhullar from PWD Provincial Division, Shivpreet Singh from PWD Construction Division -1, Mohali and Manpreet Singh Dua from Provincial Division Patiala were also present in the meeting.
